BMAM EXPO ASIA 2010 – The 3rd Building Maintenance & Asset Management Expo Asia 2010 – is scheduled to be opened by Thailand’s Minister of Industry, Mr. Chaiwut Bannawat on 15th September 2010 at IMPACT Exhibition Centre Hall 4, Bangkok.  

To take place from 15th to 17th September 2010, this annual international B2B exhibition and conference will bring together key industry players in the business and market under one roof and serves as an effective educational and networking forum for building owners, facility managers, key engineering decision makers and maintenance professionals to understand the benefits and importance of building maintenance and property and asset management.  

Thailand’s property, asset and facility management industry is enjoying unprecedented growth. Bangkok with its rapid urbanization, especially in real estate developments has an urbanized area of over 700 sq km of which 23% are residential and housing and 20% are commercial, industrial and government buildings.  

In today’s challenging economy, building owners and facility managers here are faced with a variety of business and financial pressures coupled with operational resource constraints. There is hence a growing emphasis for sustainable and efficient building maintenance solutions that can ensure building assets are fully utilized at the lowest possible cost, while maximizing the benefits to its lifecycle. Growing interests in the REIT market has also make enhancing real estate asset values a top priority.  

In combating rising costs, cost savings in energy has never been more emphasized until now especially in this time of increasingly awareness on global warming and environmental protections. The Thai government is encouraging further commitments from building owners and facility owners to seek solutions that can help to optimize energy conservation, especially in HVAC, systems, computerized energy management systems, effective maintenance programme, insulations, and other electric components upgrades. 

Building safety is another important issue that needs to be addressed in Thailand. There is now greater emphasis and enforcement on fire hazards and building safety regulations and control in buildings, especially in the wake of many fire-related accidents in recent years.  

BMAM EXPO ASIA 2010 will see over 300 exhibitors and co-exhibitors showcasing their latest solutions, services and products to a highly targeted trade visitor audience comprising over 3500 key decision makers and engineering and maintenance professionals. A key feature of the exhibition is the green products zone that will showcase the latest innovations in green solutions and products, including the green building concept exhibited by the Association of Siamese Architects. With one month to go, the exhibition floor is already over 95% booked.   Running alongside the exhibition is a 3-day BMAM conference hosted by Jones Lang LaSalle. The conference is a must attend event that addresses key issues facing the industry today, ranging from market outlook, government initiatives, sustainable and energy efficient buildings, facility threat preventions, safety and security through a series of highly interactive seminars, workshops, and networking sessions featuring case studies, strategies, panel discussions, tutorials, trends, technology and methodology conducted by industry experts.
