Market Insights

Thailand is the second largest economy in South East Asia. Thailand presents the biggest yet untapped market potential for Green Buildings and Facility Management know-how.

Thailand is the only South East Asian developing country that does not have a Green Building Council. Thailand Green Building Institute (TGBI), supported by Association of Siamese Architects (ASA) and Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT) was formed to leadThailand towards a green future.

In recent years, more facility owners are certifying their buildings through green certifying bodies such as LEEDS and Green Mark (Singapore).

Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Industry are key supporters of BMAM Expo Asia and GBR Expo Asia indicating the Government’s emphasis to educate the market on better facility management and critical importance of Green Buildings.

Australian Brands and Exporters are well respected in the region for their quality and standards. The TAFTA provides manufacturers and exporters an enviable competitive advantage to enter a new market or to improve on their market share in Thailand, one of the most exciting new markets in the region.
